What if I don't have sufficient identification?

For the purposes of obtaining a criminal records check, your alternative is to submit your fingerprints to the R.C.M.P. who will either issue you a certificate stating you have no record, or provide a copy of the record if one exists. This will take approximately 3 - 6 months.

The West Grey Police Service charges a $30.00 fee for fingerprinting, and in addition there is a $25.00 fee to the RCMP for their checks. Cheque or money order should be made out to The Receiver General of Canada.

IF application is accompanied by a letter from the employer/agency requesting the CR check, then the RCMP will waive their fee.
